My Idea

For my final idea I want to make a sketchbook based on shoes. People will be able to see a collection of shoes and how to style the different types of shoes shown. The book will have a plain background to make my photos stand out more because I don’t want colours to clash.

Type of Production

The type of production I have decided to create is a sketchbook because I have developed skills in this area. Due to creating sketchbook twice in previous projects I feel like I am confident enough to be able to do it again and not struggle.

Target Audience

The target audience for my product will be for anyone. The infant sizes will be from 3 to 9.5 and then the biggest size will be a size 13 in the men. I wanted to make sure that my product reached through to all people and I had a variety of different types so that more people would buy my products.

Purpose of my Sketchbook

The main purpose of my sketchbook would be to show people how to style different styles of trainers whether they’re chunky, have colour on or just a normal plain trainer. I want my sketchbook to help people know whether that type of shoe would suit them but also to show them that you can wear whatever you want with whatever shoe and still feel confident in them.

Primary Research

Primary research is research where you have to go out yourself and get the answers you are looking for. This kind of research takes more time than secondary research because you have to wait around for the responses to come back.

Secondary Research

Secondary research is research that is already made so things like websites with information on would be secondary rather than primary as the research is already there for you and you don’t have to do any work yourself.

Strengths

I would say that my strengths would be layout of the sketchbook because I always make them look completely different but also the process of taking the photos.

Weaknesses

One weakness would be the editing side of the photos, I haven’t had a lot of experience in the Photoshop part of media. So I think I will struggle in that area but I am going to try and give myself more time to edit them so if something goes wrong then i’ll have more time to fix it.

Other people’s views

Chloe – I like the concept and it seems like you’re happy with the topic. To improve, you could edit the photos more.

Callum – The idea that has been presented is interesting and the way you plan on presenting it is very well thought out. Research is well done although there are not examples of other sketchbook shown.
