Evaluation

Throughout the process of creating my final project I feel like I learnt a lot more to do with what you have to do before you take the photo. I realised that what is behind the main aspect of photo is really important and it plays a big part in how your final image will look. Luckily I found where I wanted my final photos to be when I took my first set of test shots. The theme I went for is sunshine and daisies because I felt that with the shoes being surrounded by the daisies, it helped add a bit more colour and shape to my photos and with it being sunny in the background it created depth within the photos with the shadows formed. However in some of my photographs the shadows over lapped onto the shoes which made my photos look less professional. I also realised that I used different tones of filter on them which in some cases made them look a little odd but in others worked quite well so for next time I would just stick to the one shade just to make sure everything looked complete.

My bibliography shows different web links to similar ideas to mine. I found 3 websites where I got my inspiration from and I stated underneath each link, which bit from the website inspired me to include it in my own work. The sites I chose were Miss Guided, Nike and Rebellious Fashion I think they linked really well to my final product. My final project was fashion so I chose websites that I felt linked with my project.

A threat would be that there is other fashion sketchbooks out there with similar ideas to mine which could mean that it could push my project down in the market. similar products are shops like Nike and Pretty Little Thing. One of the opportunities that I had been I’ve been given while creating my product would of been that I had the resources in the edit suite such as Photoshop which helped me to get better quality of my images but also to add effects over the top to get the feeling of the Images that I wanted.

Reviews:

Hollie – I really like the idea of the project, not only is it different it’s also very fun and will definitely catch the audiences eye. For improvement you should find some photos that inspired you to take your test shots, so then viewers would have an insight of how you came up with the idea.

Alex – I like the way you have changed the contrast and brightness of your photos. I also like how the shoes are emphasis of your photos. I dislike how the location of all your photos are the same but apart from that your photos show your idea off very well.

Callum – I liked the way you edited your photos I feel like it went well with the black pages of the sketchbook and made the images pop more. Next time you should try messing around with more styles of shoes and clothes to widen your target audience.

Alfie – I thought that your idea to put your photos in a sketchbook rather than make a poster or magazine was nice because it was a different way of showing your idea. I also liked how your photos were in a similar tone but in addition to that how even though they were different you could see how they all linked together. However if you was to do it again I would recommend trying different locations for your test shots.
